The Compassionate Friends Qld offers a range of online support meetings that can be accessed from the browser on a personal computer, an app on your phone or tablet, or via telephone.
Formal online support group meetings are conducted using Zoom Meetings video conferencing with online chat. You need to register for these by email to admin@tcfqld.org.au
Once you have registered for a meeting, you will be sent a link to join that meeting. Each meeting has its own link so you need to register for each meeting you wish to attend.
Joining on a Computer or Mobile Device
To join the meeting from your computer or mobile device, click the link provided in your email invitation. Before joining, you can download the Zoom app from the Zoom Download Center. Otherwise, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom when you click a join link.
If you do not wish to install the Zoom app, you also have an option to join from within the browser only.
You can also join a test meeting to familiarise yourself with Zoom.
Joining on a Phone
To join the meeting by phone, dial one of the teleconferencing numbers provided in the email invite. You will be prompted for the meeting ID number which is a unique number allocated to that meeting and is included in your email invitation.
